Walked in and it was packed so I thought must be a good place! We were seated quickly. Service was excellent, quick and friendly. Waitress took good care of us even while very busy. Chips, queso, and salsa were good. Forgot to take pictures of the food but my taco salad with chicken was delicious!

This place is so great! The food is really top notch. It's now my go to place for Carne Asada. The staff is very friendly and the owner is the nicest guy in the world. Great place to eat!!

We tried Hacienda Vieja in Grimes today, great food, huge portions, and good prices. Ordered from lunch menu and had leftovers for lunch tomorrow! The shaker margaritas were excellent!

This by far the best, most welcoming Mexican restaurant we have ever ate at. The food is tasty and the owners and staff are very friendly. Try their fajitas, pollo Diablo, or choro pollo. Don't forget to ask for grilled jalapeños and avocado slices.

This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in the entire Des Moines metro. Not only is the food good, the service is always outstanding. They are usually quite busy, but we always get a table and the wait staff never seems impatient or rushed. They also have a fantastic variety of drinks at the bar too!
